Sahang-Hee Hahn is an Assistant Vice President and Counsel in the Law Department at MassMutual Financial Group. Sahang-Hee provides state and local tax legal support to the Corporate Tax Department, Law Department, and business groups at MassMutual, focusing on tax controversy, planning, and policy-related matters. Her professional experience includes representing clients in state and local tax controversies; advising on tax issues arising during mergers, acquisitions, and internal restructurings; advising on state tax policy issues; and assisting with tax credits and incentives applications.
Sahang-Hee is the Co-Founder and current Co-Chair of the Tax Committee of the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY). Sahang-Hee is also an active participant in several trade organizations, including the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA); Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM); and the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI).
Prior to joining MassMutual, Sahang-Hee worked as an attorney for a large law firm in New York City. Sahang-Hee earned her J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, in English from the University of Pennsylvania School of Arts & Sciences.
