Yuna Park is a first-year J.D. candidate at Columbia Law School. She is a first-generation immigrant from South Korea. Prior to law school, Ms. Park was a 2011 Teach for America New York City corps member and was a public school educator for six years. She taught 5th grade at P.S. 124, located in Manhattan’s Chinatown. Over 93% of students at P.S. 124 identify as Asian American. In 2012, she co-founded the Teach for America Asian American Pacific Islander Educators Affinity Group, which provides TFA corps members, alumni and staff with professional learning, networking and social opportunities. She continues to support TFA’s efforts to recruit Asian American educators.
Ms. Park received her B.S. in Media, Culture and Communications from New York University in 2011. She received her Masters in Childhood Education from CUNY Hunter College in 2013. This summer, Ms. Park will be a 1L summer associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
