Narissa Ganpat

Narissa Ganpat is a first-year law student at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. She is a recipient of the Ricardo Ramos Memorial Endowed Merit Scholarship which is awarded to a student from a traditionally underrepresented group that demonstrates leadership abilities and a strong interest in and the capacity to pursue a career in the Corporate practice area. Narissa was also accepted as a Business Law Fellow at her law school for her desire to work in the field. She completed her first semester ranking in the top 7.5% of her class of 279. Narissa was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Writing and Research, for having the highest raw score in this course. She is currently a member of the South Asian Law School Association and has a passion to promote diversity in the Corporate sector by using her experience as a first-generation college graduate and law student to serve as a mentor to the next generation of Asian Americans.

Prior to attending Hofstra Law School, Narissa received her B.A. in Political Science and worked as a Lead Associate Operation Specialist at Chase. Narissa was awarded the prestigious New York City Bar Diversity Fellowship and will spend her 1L summer as a Summer Associate at Perkins Coie LLP.
