The Program is an unprecedented response to the troubling realities of Asian American advancement in the legal profession. We cordially invite donors who support diversity and inclusion to contribute in order to allow the Program to realize its ambitious goals.
About the Program
The Don H. Liu Scholars Program, Inc. was established in 2015 to support non-profit, charitable, and educational purposes within 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”). Although it has an independent Board, it remains affiliated with AABANY and continues to work in close tandem with AABANY on fundraising networking opportunities for our Scholars.
AABANY was formed in 1989 as a not-for-profit professional organization within Section 501(c)(6) of the Code to represent the interests of New York Asian American attorneys, judges, law professors, legal professionals, legal assistants or paralegals, and law students. The mission of AABANY is to improve the study and practice of law and to pursue the fair administration of justice for all by ensuring a more meaningful participation of Asian Americans in the legal profession.
